Podcast guest follow-up email template
An invite with no reply usually means your message landed on a busy day and slid down the pile. Silence is rarely a decision. It is an inbox doing what inboxes do.
One short follow-up recovers more guests than any perfectly worded first email. You are not nagging. You are giving a good message a second chance to be seen, and carrying the next step so a yes takes ten seconds.

Why this one gets a yes
- It assumes the busy day, not the brush-off. Treating silence as an accident keeps the tone warm and gives them room to reply without explaining themselves.
- It carries the next step. Asking for a day or two that work is far easier to answer than a vague "are you still interested."
- It offers a clean no. Making it easy to decline means the people who are still in do not feel cornered into it.
Common questions
When should I send the first follow-up to a podcast guest?
About five to seven days after your invite. That is long enough that you are not crowding them and short enough that your first message is still near the top of their memory. Any sooner feels impatient. Much later and the thread has gone cold.
What should a podcast follow-up email say?
Keep it to three lines. Float the invite back up, restate the topic in one sentence, and make the next step a quick reply. Skip any mention of their silence and do not apologize for writing again. A short, warm nudge that carries the next step gets answered.
How many follow-ups is too many?
Two or three, spaced out, then let it rest. A first nudge after a week, one more a week or so after that, and a final light check-in. Past that you are better off pausing and reaching out fresh in a month than sending a fourth reminder.
